UPDATE: Stephens College says Clearcy and Prunty halls have been cleared for residents to return.

Here is our original story from this morning:

Stephens College officials in Columbia say carbon monoxide detectors have been installed on each floor at every residence hall, and that proactive carbon monoxide readings are being conducted in every campus building.

Searcy and Prunty halls remain closed on this Monday morning, due to an elevated level of level of carbon monoxide last week. Stephens president Dr. Shannon Lundeen has written a new update, noting Peak Climate Heating and Air Conditioning is currently installing new boilers in Searcy and Prunty halls.

Alternative housing has been secured for the more than 125 displaced students.
