Boone County prosecutors have filed criminal charges against the suspect accused of threatening to kill 911 dispatchers and police officers Friday night, before a lengthy standoff on Columbia’s West Worley.
53-year-old Glen Lee Parey of Columbia is jailed without bond, charged with three felonies: first degree harassment, resisting arrest and unlawful use of a weapon. He’s also charged with two misdemeanors.
The Columbia Police Department’s graphic three-page probable cause statement says Parey told 911 operators Friday night to “burn in hell” and allegedly asked dispatchers “if they wanted to be filleted or thrown in the sewer.” He also allegedly called 911 to say that officers who came to his home on West Worley were “going to die”. He also threatened to “release hell” on a dispatcher, according to court documents.
Parey is also accused of pointing pistols at passing vehicles on West Worley late Friday night, before a long standoff with Columbia Police.
Parey, who is jailed without bond, made his first court appearance this week in Boone County Circuit Court via video from jail.
