State transportation officials say three state highways in Boone County are currently closed this morning, due to flash flooding.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) says Route E north of Columbia is closed at the Perche and Rock Fork creeks. That road closure is impacting many motorists who travel to Columbia from Harrisburg. 939 the Eagle’s Doug Groff reports water is covering the road and that many drivers have had to turn around. Doug reports that area has received almost six inches of rain since Thursday.

MoDOT also says Route CC is closed at Long Branch creek west of Centralia and that Route ZZ is closed from I-70 drive to Worley street due to overflow from Perche creek.
