A Jefferson City businessman and restaurant owner is charged in federal court with harboring illegal immigrants.

Federal prosecutors say 46-year-old Danny Cheng, who owns Dragon Kitchen on Jefferson City’s Missouri Boulevard, allegedly employed, housed and transported multiple illegal immigrants.

Federal prosecutors also say Cheng allegedly housed multiple illegal immigrants in a home he owned in the Capital City. The house, which has since been condemned by Jefferson City building inspectors, was divided into at least eight rooms using plywood and other materials.
