For the second time in three months, a man has been stabbed at Columbia’s Douglass park on Fifth street, near Providence.
Last night’s incident was deadly and happened at about 8:20. CPD says that when officers arrived, they found an adult male with injuries. Officers provided medical assistance until EMS arrived, and CPD says the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Columbia Police say one adult male is in custody and that there’s no outstanding threat to the public. His name has not been released yet and the victim’s name has also not been released, pending notification of relatives.
