Columbia Police say a man who scaled the municipal power plant on the Business Loop Wednesday morning has been rescued and now in custody.

CPD spokesman Colin Imhoff tells 939 the Eagle that there are no known injuries.

The man scaled the plant and was about 250 feet in the air. CPD and firefighters arrived quickly and said the scene was stable all morning. It’s unclear how the man got through security to climb to the location.
