Mizzou athletic director Laird Veatch says the extension runs through the 2029 season. Mizzou is 21-5 overall in the past two seasons, with back-to-back double digit win seasons. Mizzou’s 21 wins in the past two years are tied for third among current teams in the Southeastern Conference. Coach Drinkwitz says he’s incredibly grateful “for the continued belief in our vision for Mizzou football.”

UM Board of Curators chair Todd Graves describes the momentum of Mizzou football as undeniable.

Mizzou opens the 2025 season at home at Faurot on Thursday August 28, when they host Central Arkansas. Kickoff that evening is set for 6:30.
