UPDATE: Murder charges filed for the Columbia homicide on Range Line

Boone County prosecutors have charged a southwest Missouri man with second degree murder for Wednesday afternoon’s homicide in the 1300 block of Range Line street.

Boone County prosecutor Roger Johnson tells 939 the Eagle that he’s also filed first degree domestic assault charges against 35-year-old Nicholas Ayres, who is from southern Missouri’s Crane. Ayres is being held in the Boone County jail without bond. Prosecutor Johnson filed the charges Thursday afternoon.

Columbia police have identified the victim as 37-year-old Destiny Dunn of Kansas City.
