There are no reports of deaths or serious injuries. Columbia city officials say the storms caused significant damage to the city’s material recovery facility, so all recycling in Columbia is suspended indefinitely. That includes weekly residential curbside collections and commercial collections.

NWS St. Louis meteorologist Chris Kimble says survey teams will be in mid-Missouri today. Mr. Kimble tells 939 the Eagle that they’ll work to determine if tornadoes happened on Easter Sunday, and if so, the size of them. Utility crews from across the region have worked around-the-clock to restore power. Columbia Water and Light has restored power to about 3,900 residents, and about 100 are still without power. Boone Electric has restored power to 3,400 residents, and 41 remain without power. Ameren Missouri has restored power to 900 residents in the Jefferson City area, along with another 230 or so in the Ashland area.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in both St. Louis and Kansas City issued numerous tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings across mid-Missouri listening area on Easter.
