UPDATE: CPD says four juveniles detained after shots fired incident at Columbia Mall

UPDATE: Columbia Police say four juveniles have been detained on multiple counts following Sunday evening’s shots fired call in the 2100 block of West Worley, near Columbia Mall.

The incident happened before sunset at about 5:25 pm. No injuries are reported. CPD investigators say one juvenile has been detained on four counts of first degree assault, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and distribution of a controlled substance. CPD says a second juvenile has been detained for unlawful possession of a firearm and trespassing. A third juvenile has been detained for unlawful possession of a firearm, and a fourth juvenile has been detained for juvenile delinquency.

The incident happened at about 5:25 pm on Sunday, after multiple reports of shots fired. CPD investigators say in addition to detaining six juveniles, they found at least three firearms, one of which was previously reported stolen. There are no reports of injuries.
