Columbia Police are investigating a shots fired incident near northeast Columbia’s Valley Creek and Godas drive for the second time in three nights. That’s just north of Clark lane, near Schnucks and across the street from the Links apartments.
Columbia Police spokesman Brian McNeill tells 939 the Eagle that CPD investigators found evidence of shots fired. Mr. McNeill does not have additional information. Reporter Mitch Kaminski from our news partner ABC-17 saw at least five CPD officers and a K-9 unit at Godas and Valley Creek at about 8 yesterday (Thursday) evening. He also saw evidence markers on the ground, likely shell casings.
ABC-17 also say two vehicles at the scene with damage to the driver’s side doors. Tow trucks removed the vehicles. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Columbia Crimestoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
