Boone County prosecutors have charged 18-year-old Ty Xeven Raine Frey with felony involuntary manslaughter and with two misdemeanors: operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and minor visibly intoxicated.

Friday morning’s crash happened at about 2 am in the 800 block of Old Plank, which is in south Columbia. CPD investigators say Frey was driving a vehicle that was traveling west when it left the road and struck a tree. CPD says 18-year-old passenger Killian Walker of Macon died from injuries in the crash. Frey and two other passengers sustained minor injuries, according to police.

The Boone County court has denied bond for Frey, describing him as a danger to the community. Columbia Police describe their investigation as ongoing: they encourage anyone with information on the deadly crash to call Columbia Crimestoppers at (573) 875-TIPS. You can call that number and remain anonymous.
