32-year-old Cody David Bass of Kansas City is jailed without bond, charged with second degree assault and three other felonies. Boone County prosecutors describe Bass as a flight risk in court documents and say he “has a long history of felony assault convictions.”

Boone County sheriff’s deputies say the victim who was stabbed suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Boone County Sheriff Department’s two-page probable cause statement says Bass is currently homeless and that the stabbing grazed the bone in the victim’s hand.
