UPDATE: Suspect jailed without bond after weekend shooting in Columbia

Columbia Police say the man who was shot early Sunday morning on Old Highway 63 sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies captured the suspect, 22-year-old Lorenzo Jesus Toledo, shortly after the incident. Toledo was found near McKee and Orchard lane in northeast Columbia.

Sunday morning’s shooting happened at about 2, and CPD’s investigation continues. Columbia Police are seeking first degree assault and armed criminal action charges against Toledo, who is currently jailed without bond.
