Three of downtown Columbia’s most recognizable properties are currently tied up in active real estate transactions, placing almost two acres at the western entrance of downtown in play for possible redevelopment.

939 the Eagle’s Mike Murphy of Comobuz broke the story Tuesday morning. He reports the properties include the former Katy railroad station on East Broadway, Broadway Diner on South Fourth and the Ice House complex as well.

Murphy reports that a current commercial listing combines the Katy station and Broadway Diner properties and describes them as positioned for student housing or mixed-use redevelopment.
