Missouri state troopers say there were TWO separate crashes on westbound I-70 in mid-Missouri’s Montgomery County on Monday afternoon, crashes that caused three fatalities.
The first crash involved two tractor trailers at I-70’s 181-mile marker in Montgomery County. One truck driver was killed and the other suffered injuries.

Troopers say that the second crash happened just after that, when a tractor trailer was stopped in traffic on westbound I-70 because of the fatality crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report says a motorcycle driven by a Washington State man struck the rear of the tractor trailer. The Patrol says the motorcycle driver and his 36-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. She is also from Washington State.
