UPDATE: Tree damage reported across Cooper County, after Sunday’s tornado warning

There are no reports of deaths or serious injuries in mid-Missouri, despite several tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings late Sunday afternoon.

Tornado warnings were issued in both Pettis and Cooper counties. Cooper County emergency management officials tell 939 the Eagle that tree damage is reported near Boonville and Prairie Home, as well as in the Otterville area. No structure damage is reported in Cooper County.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Columbia, but was allowed to expire.

There are reports of tornado damage this evening near Linneus and Purdin in far northern Missouri. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Pleasant Hill tells 939 the Eagle that NWS survey crews will likely view those areas on Monday.
