18-year-old Keiner Farith Asprilla is charged in Boone County Circuit Court with rape, sodomy and second degree kidnapping. A court filing from Boone County assistant prosecutor Risa Perkins describes Asprilla as a danger to the public, alleging that he forcibly raped and sodomized the victim and threw her phone across the room so she could not get help. Prosecutor Perkins’ motion also says Asprilla is unlikely to appear on a summons, noting he is from the country of Colombia and has an immigration hold.

CPD’s heavily-redacted six-page probable cause statement says Asprilla has the alleged victim’s contact information.

Asprilla made his initial court appearance on Wednesday, via video from the Boone County jail. His next court appearance will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 before Judge Kimberly Shaw. That court appearance will be by video as well.
