Missouri state troopers have reopened westbound I-70 at Columbia’s Highway 63 connector, after a tractor trailer overturned Tuesday morning.
The overturned semi blocked westbound I-70’s passing lane and traffic backed up all the way past the Lake of the Woods interchange. The road was blocked for about two hours, from about 8 to 10 am.
Westbound I-70 was closed to provide time for first responders, a contractor and tow trucks to clear the scene. Crews also had to rest temporary concrete barriers that were displaced.
