You may have heard about some people having serious reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine. But Cole County Health Director Kristi Campbell says she has not seen that in any of her clinics.
“Usually it’s because they’re scared of needles, not necessarily because they’ve had a reaction to the vaccine. We’ve had a few people develop a little bit of rash.”
Campbell says some people do come down with flu-like symptoms hours or even days after getting the shot.
The semi-permanent Capital Mall vaccine clinic continues this week. There’s a big Pfizer shot clinic at Columbia Mall on Monday and Tuesday. Walk-ins are welcome.
