Maybe the second time is a charm.
Rep. Rudy Veit plans to reintroduce his bill in 2020 to allow the state to donate about 100 acres of land close to the Algoa Prison for a Missouri River port near Jefferson City.
“[On the House transportation committee] we really didn’t have but one objecting vote [this] year in the House of Representatives. He just happened to be in a key spot.”
The land conveyance bill passed the House last session but died in the Missouri Senate.
