A state representative wants another shot at getting some state-owned land for a Jefferson City river port.
“You can improve the navigation on the river so much and you can decrease the flood impact if you make those the priorities,” Rep. Rudy Veit says.
Veit sponsored a bill calling for 116 acres of state land near the Algoa Prison for a river port. It ran out of time during the last week of the regular session. The governor has said he may call a special session this year.
