A 19-year-old is shot and killed in southwest Columbia.
Deputies learned about several gunshots at about 7:42 p.m. Monday near Millbrook Drive and Essex Court in the Georgetown subdivision off Scott Boulevard. They found Jakob Cole lying in a driveway, shot several times. He died from his injuries less than an hour later at a hospital.
The Boone Co. Sheriff’s Dept. has not released information on the shooter yet.
