Arrest after Columbia apartment shooting

Columbia Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex.

Officers learned about shots fired on Aspen Heights Parkway at about 2:40 p.m. Saturday. One person had to go to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sunday, police arrested Jaylen James, 20, for second degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence.
