The Virginia Cavaliers dominated in time of possession and beat Missouri 13-7 in Saturday night’s TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Cavaliers had the ball for 38:19, while Mizzou had it for just 21:41. Mizzou running back Ahmad Hardy had 15 carries for 89 yards, breaking Cody Schrader’s single-season Tiger rushing record. Hardy, a Doak Walker award finalist, finishes the season with 1,649 yards.
Virginia was led by running back Harrison Waylee, who carried the ball 20 times for 68 yards and a touchdown.

Mizzou led 7-3 at halftime. Eliah Drinkwitz’s Tigers finish the season 8-5, while Virginia finishes 11-3.
