Our news partner ABC-17 reports there was a line of Columbia Police vehicles near Forest Village apartments on South Providence, and 939 the Eagle’s Peter Thiele saw numerous CPD officers with weapons at the scene. Peter’s photos show the officers bunched together, near an apartment stairwell. Police were using a loudspeaker to tell a man in an apartment to come out. A drone was also used.

ABC-17 reports police tape started coming down at 10:24 pm. The suspect was not inside the apartment. 939 the Eagle News has reached out to CPD for additional information.
