Wanted man arrested after reported Mexico chase

Officers in Mexico say they caught a wanted man in the act.

James Mayweather allegedly tried to force his way into a home on Latney Street at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. Officers say Mayweather ran from them across several yards, but they caught him about a block away. An officer picked up minor injuries during the chase.

Mayweather, 34, had six outstanding warrants in Audrain County. He picked up new charges of resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
