A veteran campus cop is now the MU police department’s chief.
The university announced Monday that Brian Weimer has earned the job. He has been with the department for nearly 30 years.
Weimer was named interim chief last July, replacing MUPD leader Doug Schwandt. Schwandt retired after 20 years as chief.
