The winter storm has forced most school districts in central Missouri to cancel classes again for today (Thursday).
Columbia Public Schools (CPS), Jefferson City Public Schools (JCPS) and Southern Boone R-1 are not in session today, citing the inclement weather. Other districts are also emphasizing the unsafe travel conditions.
Numerous smaller districts are also canceled today, including Cole County R-5 in Eugene and Pilot Grove. Many Catholic schools are closed, including St. George in Linn and St. Joseph in Pilot Grove.
Higher education is also impacted by the snowstorm: Columbia College day campus classes are canceled today, while staff members will work virtually. Lincoln University’s campus in Jefferson City is closed today. Mizzou’s campus and the UM System office are conducting remote operations and classes today.
