The University of Missouri will fully close campus beginning at noon Thursday.
According to MU vice chancellor of operations, Gary Ward, the winter weather advisory for the area has caused safety concerns.
“We have been working closely with local and state officials and, given the current information, believe this is the best course of action at this time,” he said in a news release. “Depending on road conditions, a decision will be made early Friday morning as to whether to resume normal operations.”
Only employees that are situationally critical will need to report to work. Information as to who those employees can be found here.
All MU Health Care hospitals will remain open and the Veterinary Health Center will remain open for emergencies. The Student Center, Recreation Complex and select dining facilities will remain open with limited service.
