With merger still under review, it’s business as usual right now at Missouri’s Orscheln stores

An executive at Tractor Supply says it’s still business as usual right now for Missouri’s 60 Orscheln stores, including two in Columbia and one in Jefferson City.

Tennessee-based Tractor Supply announced last winter that they’ve entered into an agreement to acquire Moberly-based Orscheln in an all-cash transaction for $297-million.

The proposed merger remains under regulatory review. Tractor Supply spokeswoman Mary Winn Pilkington tells 939 the Eagle that Tractor Supply’s focus is on regulatory approval.  She also says it’s business as usual for the Missouri Orscheln stores.

Orscheln’s two Columbia stores are on Paris road and South Providence, and the Jefferson City store is located on heavily-traveled Missouri Boulevard.

Tractor Supply describes itself as the nation’s largest rural lifestyle retailer.
