Woman charged with meth possession inside sheriff’s headquarters

The Audrain County Sheriff says he can’t make this stuff up.

Matt Oller reports Mexico native Amanda Smith, 29, was arrested in his department’s lobby on Tuesday. Investigators say she drove there to bond her boyfriend out of jail, but she had a revoked license.

Then, Oller says he saw her on video hiding a bag of meth she apparently brought with her to the department.

Smith is facing felony charges for both the license and the drugs now.
