A couple Columbia natives are among those part of that deadly accident involving a trolley in Hermann.
The Highway Patrol says an SUV pulled in to the path of the trolley on Highway 100 on Saturday afternoon during the Octoberfest celebration. SUV driver Paula Heidemann, 55, of Hermann has died.
Two Columbia women on the trolley, 24-year-old Savannah Everett and 25-year-old Emily Wright, have minor injuries.
The two SUV passengers, both young grandchildren of Heidemann from Pacific, Mo., are now in a Columbia hospital with serious injuries.
