Woman pleads to lesser charge in 2018 Columbia murder case

One of the several people linked to a deadly 2018 Columbia shooting pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

ABC 17 reports Mackenzie Cox will spend five years in prison after admitting to distributing marijuana.

Randall King was shot and killed after an apparent drug deal gone wrong on Sylvan Lane.

Authorities identified six other suspects in the case. Some are still facing murder charges, while a few others have already pleaded guilty to lesser offenses.

It’s still unclear who shot and killed King.
