A woman receives a 10-year prison sentence relating to a deadly crash on I-70 in 2017.
ABC 17 reports Keaunia Brooks pleaded guilty to first-degree involuntary manslaughter and second-degree assault.
Troopers say Anita Pierden died after Brooks’ car crossed the median on I-70 and struck Pierden’s head-on. The investigation revealed Brooks had been smoking marijuana before the crash.
Brooks will be released on parole if she goes through 120 days of shock incarceration.
