It’s official: Lyn Woolford is America’s favorite crossing guard.
A panel of contest sponsors confirmed the win Thursday.
Woolford is Ashland’s police chief. He’s known for wearing funny hats while helping folks cross the street. Wake Up Columbia spoke with him about it.
He won an online contest through the Safe Kids Worldwide Organization. The Southern Boone school district gets $10,000. Woolford gets $500.
