Jefferson City firefighters put out train car fire

Jefferson City firefighters had to work through the night to put out a train car fire.

Authorities said the fire started around 8 p.m. Monday at the railyard on North Chestnut Street. They found a container car from Union Pacific on fire.

No other train cars were damaged. No injuries were reported. Investigators are still trying to figure out the cause of the fire.
