Mar. 18, 2021 marks the one-year anniversary of Missouri’s first announced COVID-19 death.
It happened in Boone County. A patient in his or her 60’s caught the virus while traveling abroad.
Boone County now has 83 COVID-19 deaths. The state has confirmed more than 8,300.
Boone County continued a lower coronavirus case trend on Thursday. There were 21 new positives, but active cases went up a little to 106. Hospitalizations fell, to 22, and are not straining resources. Cole County had only three new cases. Callaway County reported 13 new cases since Monday.
