(AUDIO) Anti-human trafficking advocate Nanette Ward

Nanette Ward with the Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition says a new documentary’s claims that Columbia police officers let a pimp stay in business in exchange for info on other criminals is discouraging.

“We are, as a culture, more concerned about the war on drugs,” Ward says on Wake Up Columbia. “We have not moved to really embracing the fact that there are victims of this horrific crime of human trafficking.”
