It’s got five major goals; some are more controversial than others.
Amendment One, known as “Clean Missouri,” is on the state-wide ballot in three weeks and would impose a series of ethics reform measures including a lobbyist gift ban, lower campaign finance limits and a two-year waiting period before lawmakers can become lobbyists.
State rep. Chuck Basye told Wake Up Columbia that he’s not on board with some other points.
