Be on the lookout for tax return scams

Did an IRS agent just call you needing some personal information so they can process your tax return? Don’t buy it.

The Wall Street Group’s Travis Ford says a popular scam is a supposed IRS staffer asking you for your birth date and social security number to fix some problem with your return.
The IRS won’t call, and the agency already knows your birthdate and social security number.
