Boone commissioners to distribute remaining CARES Act funds

The Boone County Commission on Tuesday night was scheduled to dish out the last of the coronavirus relief money it got from the federal government.

Missouri chose to have counties decide how to distribute the funds.

Boone has spent $20.177 million of the $21.171 million it got in federal CARES Act funding. It has to be given out by the end of the year.

The Columbia City Council was also scheduled to talk about CARES Act funding during a work session Tuesday morning.
