The Benton County Sheriff and his wife are both in the hospital.
The Camden County Sheriff’s department said on social media Sunday Eric Knox and his wife, Joy, were hurt in a motorcycle crash earlier that day. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said it happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday on the Mile Long Bridge on Highway 7. They say the back tire of the motorcylce started to shred, then it hit the bridge, throwing both of them off the bike.
Earlier today Benton County Sheriff Eric Knox and his wife were involved in a motorcycle accident. They are listed in serious condition. Please keep them in your prayers for healing and a speedy recovery…

ABC 17 reports both are receiving treatment at a Columbia hospital. Sheriff Knox is in fair condition, while Joy is still critical.
