Charge dropped against Cole County assessor

Cole County’s assessor is no longer facing a fourth-degree assault charge.

ABC 17 reports prosecutors have dropped the charge against Chris Estes. It came about last June when Estes allegedly punched a neighbor over a property dispute.

Estes is running for a fourth term in office.
