Some of those folks who are dealing with COVID-19 infected patients every day may have to wait a little longer to get their vaccinations.
Doctors and nurses are among those getting the first vaccines. Cole County Commissioner Sam Bushman says the EMT’s and paramedics on ambulances should be higher up the list than “1B.”
“We really need the vaccines now because [ambulance workers] are the first there [to treat coronavirus patients].”
Commissioners recently approve hiring more paramedics in Cole County. Emergency calls have been up through the pandemic.
