A car chase leads to an arrest and charges for a Columbia man.
Sheriff’s deputies were looking for a Toyota Camry relating to a possible kidnapping and assault case Tuesday. They found Rodney Kemp, 26, driving that car Wednesday just before noon.
Kemp drove away at the Highway 63 connector near Clark Lane, then onto Business Loop 70. Kemp’s car crashed with another during the chase, but no one was hurt.
Deputies caught him at an apartment complex on Amelia Drive. They found him with marijuana and some cash. He’s now in jail.
