A Columbia man is hospitalized after a crash north of Columbia.
The Highway Patrol says William Barnhart, 66, was driving his moped north on Highway 63 near Calvert Hill Road at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators say the moped switched lanes into the path of another car, which then hit the moped. Barnhart was thrown from the bike.
Barnhart was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
