A Boone County judge has scheduled a four-day jury trial in August for a Columbia suspect charged with a 2024 double homicide.

53-year-old Randall Russell Fox is charged with two counts of second degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence.

He’s charged with shooting and killing 77-year-old Marcia Hess and 50-year-old Sara Fox, wrapping their bodies in a tarp and then hiding the bodies in a closet on Ridgemont drive.  The victims were shot at least once. Marcia Hess was Sara Fox’s mother.
