Columbia school board to consider five-day, in-person learning plan

The Columbia Public Schools board votes Monday night on whether to return to in-person learning five days a week.

Elementary students have been in-seat four days a week, and older students have gone two days a week, since a board vote in January. Most students had been online-only for months before that.

The daily coronavirus case rate in the district has plummeted since Thanksgiving. As of Friday, the rolling 14-day rate was at 13.2, the lowest level since CPS started using its virus tracker last August.
