A Columbia motorist who was struck head-on by a dump truck on I-70 Drive northwest on Wednesday morning is in critical condition at University Hospital in Columbia.
State troopers say 34-year-old Ashley Abernathy was driving on I-70 drive near Cynthia, when a dump truck driven by 26-year-old Kenneth Hall of Steedman crossed the center line and collided with her vehicle.
The Patrol’s crash report says Abernathy and three children in her Nissan Armada, ages five, eight and nine, suffered serious injuries. Abernathy is listed in critical condition this afternoon at University Hospital.
Hall was not injured, according to the Patrol’s crash report.
